Competition Synopsis

‘Veetukoru Vignaani 2013’ is a 2nd year state wide competition being held to identify young innovators. The competition is split in two phases. Initially a district wise round will be conducted across the state and the district winners will qualify to participate in the TN final to be held in Chennai.

Categories
Category 1 Juniors : Class 6th - 9th Standard
Category 2 Seniors : Class 10th - 12th Standard

Rules of the ‘Veetukoru Vignaani 2013’

1.     A team can consist of a maximum of 2 students.
2.     Registered students should take their positions by 8am on the event day.
3.     Students should be in their uniforms and carry their ID cards or bonafide letter.
4.     Only refreshments will be given to all the participants & faculty coordinators. Lunch can be brought by the participants.
5.     Tables and chairs will be provided. Any other requirement such as electricity points should be informed in their registration forms.
6.     Registration form should reach us a week before the event date.
7.     Maximum emphasis should be given to investigation-based innovative projects of students to kindling curiosity and interest in the subject.
8.     Projects copied from Google search or presented elsewhere earlier by some other team will be disqualified. Original ideas will always win laurels
9.     All participants will get a Participation Certificate.
10.     District winners, 1st & 2nd Runner up will receive Medal & Certificate.
11.     District Trophy will be awarded to the Winning school.
12.     District winning teams will be eligible to travel to the Tamil Nadu finals, Travel & Stay will be taken care by Puthiya Thalaimurai.
13.     Tamil Nadu finals will be held in Chennai in a Grand finale event.
14.     Tamil Nadu Winning Team will win 50,000/- cash Prize per team respectively for Juniors & Seniors.
15.     Tamil Nadu Runners Team will win 25,000/- cash prize per team respectively for Juniors & Seniors.
16.     Tamil Nadu 2nd Runners Team will win 15,000/- cash prize per team respectively for Juniors & Seniors.
17.     Judges and Organizer's decision will be final & binding.
