The mornings in Kanha are cold, misty and the meadows echo the 'raga' sung by migratory birds. The flourishing grasslands are golden and home to the majestic Barasinghas. The woods are full of suspense and game. Early morning and late evening is the time when the tiger starts its prowl. Giving the majestic wildcat company, are it's various companions, like leopards, wild dogs, foxes and the jackals, who would grace you with their unannounced visits. Day 2 We have breakfast on our arrival in Nagpur in the morning and thereafter leave for Kanha. The road takes us through the beautiful Pench forest. On arrival in Kanha, we have lunch and proceed for our first safari in the magnificent forest. Day 3, 4 We would be going on 4 safaris in these 2 days. These safaris would cover different zones and hence a different topography. Kanha is replete with meadows, grasslands, thick forests, bushes and hills. We would be covering all these in our safaris today. Hopefully, you should have seen a tiger by now! Day 5 We make our way for one last time in the forest and try and spot all the species we did not get a glimpse of till now. After a heavy brunch we leave for Nagpur from where we board our train for Pune/Bangalore. Day 6 Reach Pune at 9:30 am.
