Borneo. This quintessence of Asia is the third largest island in the world. This humongous island nestles one of the richest & the oldest rain forests in the world. Home to many endemic animals like the Bornean white-bearded gibbon, Bornean Orangutans, Bornean ferret badger, the Borneo elephant & hundreds of feathered friends.

Day 1

Drive to Mumbai at 17.00 Hours to board the flight to Kuala Lumpur and onward flight to Sandakan.

Day 2

Arrival in Sandakan

Upon arrival at Sandakan Airport (13.15 Hours), we will meet you and transfer you to your

accommodation at Sepilok Nature Resort.

Your Buffet dinner will be served at the restaurant of the resort.

Day 3

Sukau

Depart to Sandakan after breakfast. Proceed to the famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.

You will have the opportunity to watch the orangutans up close in their natural habitat. A boardwalk

through the rainforest will take you to the feeding platform where the apes are fed milk and bananas.

After lunch, transfer to Sandakan jetty for 2 and 1/2-hour boat journey to the multi awards

winning Sukau Rainforest Lodge along Sabah's longest river, Kinabatangan with opportunity to view

birds and wildlife in virgin mangrove, wetland and rainforest habitats. After check-in and afternoon

refreshment, we take a river cruise using electric motor boat in search of some of the 10 primate

species. Sukau is home to Borneo pygmy elephants, orangutans, proboscis monkeys and all eight species

of hornbills in Borneo.

Return for solar heated hot shower, candle light dinner overlooking the riverbank followed by

slide show and interpretation by naturalist guide. Overnight at the newly renovated 20 rooms Sukau

Rainforest Lodge, in 2015 awarded by National Geographic as one of the "Unique Lodges of the World".

Day 4

Sukau

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills and hot Sabah tea. A 0600hrs morning river cruise up the

Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. After breakfast, proceed

for an educational tour on our own in-house Hornbill Boardwalk located behind the lodge with our in-
house naturalist.

In the afternoon, we proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Overnight at Sukau Rainforest

Lodge.

Day 5

Gaya Island

After breakfast, return to Sandakan by boat journey. Visit Sandakan War Memorial and proceed to

Rainforest Discovery Centre. Take a bird view of the centre from the canopy walk and hanging bridge

before exploring the botanical garden, home to various species of flora. Transfer to Sandakan Airport to

take your flight for Kota Kinabalu.

Departure from Sandakan at 18:10 pm / Arrival in Kota Kinabalu at 19:00 pm – MH3094

Upon arrival, we will meet and transfer you to “Jesselton Point”, the jetty of Kota Kinabalu, at the office

of Gayana Eco Resort, you will be welcome with a drink during your waiting time for your boat transfer.

Your boat transfer will take approximately 20 minutes, upon your arrival at the Resort check-in to your

room and relax for rest of your day. You will be free at your own leisure.

Day 6

Snorkelling Day tour in Tunku Abdull Rahmann Park

After your breakfast, you will take the boat schedule transfers to go to “Jesselton Point”.

The snorkeling & island-hopping tour is a day-trip that starts in the morning and ends in the afternoon.

The tour starts at the Jesselton Point jetty where you will register for the boat transfer.

After the registration, you will go on a boat transfer from the jetty to the Tunku Abdul Rahman (TAR)

Marine Park, located about 15 minutes' boat ride away for your first snorkeling session.

You will do snorkeling activity before having lunch at around 12.00 noon. After lunch, we will move to

another snorkeling spot for another session.

The National Marine Park is a cluster of exotic islands covered by rainforest and with white sandy

beaches.

The islands are surrounded by coral reefs where an amazing marine life can be discovered. The best

reefs can only be accessed by boat.

Day 7

Departure

Transfer out to Kota Kinabalu Airport for your departure flight home.

Day 8

Arrive Mumbai and proceed towards Pune.

Pune arrival at around 5AM
