Consulting for Sustainable Development is a 4-day workshop in Auroville on integrated sustainability and transformative consulting practices. This workshop seeks to widen and deepen the notion of value that can be created through consulting services, drawing on the expertise available in Auroville. While consulting practices are required to focus on economic returns, there are a variety of micro-political, social and personal realities that also need to be integrated, in order to bring about a transformational change in society and the social conscientiousness of businesses. The course also aims to help develop an awareness of one’s personal inner capacities.

Through an integration of different modules and a series of progressive sessions, experienced facilitators guide participants to individually discover their personal relationship to sustainability and their effectiveness as a leader. The modules are interrelated and part of an integral living and learning experience at Auroville. Participants will also discover the transformative philosophy that underpins the Auroville experiment. Site visits to different sustainable initiatives and discussions with Auroville’s experts comprise the experiential part of this workshop.
