Mohanam cultural center is to promote the rich cultural heritage and folk history of our state by bringing the rich arts of Tamil Nadu back to the villages and the world through its courses, programs, activities and performances. We do this through and in conjunction with the a) empowerment of women and the education of our b) children and c) youth as part of their family unit and the d) community structure. The villages are steeped in a tremendous amount of ancient insight and knowledge and it is our mission to reignite the value that is part of our cultural heritage and that is so often overlooked by the youth and visitors as inferior to the modern alternatives that are slowly infiltrating and causing much of this ancient knowledge to be lost or forgotten. By sharing these experiences through our well-researched and practiced programs, you will be a catalyst in spreading and preserving village lore. And, with our 15 years worth of experience, we have a tremendous amount of knowledge to impart with regards to implementing programs like this in other centres.
